During a tumultuous time for even established eateries, newly minted Chewish Deli actually thrived. Debuting as a food truck smack dab in the middle of March 2020, the deli actually built up a huge following over the past two years—such a following, in fact, it was able to recently open a brick and mortar location in Old Town to complement its continuing food truck operations.

The eatery specializes in bagels and stacked sammies. Start your day with a freshly baked bagel smothered with your choice of cream cheese, or build a sandwich starting with a bagel, then adding on eggs, cheese, and breakfast meats. Stopping by for lunch? Sink your teeth into the classic Reuben on marble rye or a hot pastrami sandwich on traditional rye bread. Looking for something a little lighter? The grilled veggie sub comes stuffed with grilled onions, peppers, and mushrooms plus slightly gooey American cheese. Complement your chosen breakfast or lunch bite with a fresh cup of coffee or something fancier like a vanilla latte. And feel free to take home a tub of your favorite flavor of cream cheese!
